5 Ways to Spring Clean Your Mind

1 . Actively clean

There's nothing more that clears the mind than actually getting down and dirty with well uh, dirt. So put on your gloves and start scrubbing away!

2 . Organise your 'stuff'

Although I am a big fan of organised clutter, too much clutter can leave you scatterbrained and unable to think clearly when it comes to specific tasks. I find the best thing for me is to sort out everything into piles of 'keep', 'donate' and 'trash'. This method works for all kinds of cleaning for me, whether it comes to my wardrobe or the pile of stuff sitting on my bedside table, organising into categories can really help you see things clearer.

3 . Smell the roses

Sounds cheesy I know, but sometimes just taking the time for yourself and enjoying the moment is all you really need to recharge yourself and clear your mind. If alone time isn't your thing, find one nice thing to do for yourself, whether it's ordering a bouquet of flowers, a nice meal or treating yourself into purchasing that item you have been eyeing off for the last few months.

4 . Get outdoorsy

Spring is here so why not enjoy the sunshine? Whether it's taking a short walk during the day or having your lunch outside, make the time and effort to soak up some Vitamin D and I can almost guarantee that your mood will be instantly lifted.

5 . Have a dance party

My guilty pleasure is to blast my favourite playlist and have a little dance off during the day when I'm home alone. Something about being so silly and childish and getting down to my favourite Nicki Minaj song (another guilty pleasure of mine) makes me so incredibly happy and that release of endorphins is usually exactly what I need to get into the right headspace.

What are some of your favourite ways to 'spring clean' your mind?

As for those who are entering Autumn now, what are you most looking forward to for the cooler months?

  4. Organising, de-cluttering and generally 'spring cleaning' can be so revitalising, I agree! I'm always on board with anything flower-related too, there's no mood a bouquet of flowers can't fix :)

  5. Every time I need a break, I will go offline and spend my time outdoors. It really helps, even just a walk in the park helps.

  6. What a great post Angelique! This month I am all about decluttering and thinking of writing a similar post! :)
The keep-donate-trash piles were all over my house until yesterday! The only thing left is the bouquet of flowers! Another thing I do is cleaning the energy by burning white sage!
I wish you a lovely, clean and restful weekend my dear!

  8. Music and going for a walk really helps me clear my mind too :) I was actually looking forward to Autumn for the burgundy hues, vampy lipsticks and jumpers! I have picked up a few jumpers recently, but now that it's already starting to cool down, I'm not looking forward to the cold at all! :) xx
