The Best Moisturisers for Oily Skin

My skin is actually the reason I became so interested in beauty. I was forever frustrated with my terribly oily skin and sought to find the solution to the problems I faced. So, 15 year-old me entered the world of beauty- perhaps getting a little distracted by glittery eyeshadows along the way- but nevertheless, I continued my search to find something that worked for my skin type.

Fast forward 6 years later and I just might have finally fulfilled little Anjelique's hopes and dreams with my newest discoveries. Say goodbye to oily skin and 'hello' to a moisturised yet matte complexion.

Lush Enzymion Moisturiser*:

A really surprising find, this facial moisturiser smells of Papaya and aloe vera and is a beautifully fresh moisturiser that helps to keep oily skin matte and brighten and lift dull, tired skin. This moisturiser is perfect for those with oily skin who don't like the feel of a really matte finish on their skin after moisturising.

Previous to this, I had never tried any of the Lush Skincare range, but now I definitely need to see if there are any other skincare gems I am missing out on from them!

Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturiser:

A very lightweight yet moisturising product, this lets my skin breathe while being mattifying and hydrating. I think this is perfect for the Summer months, when you really don't want the feel of something heavy on your skin, especially when prepping your skin for makeup.

This moisturiser is perfect for those with oily skin who love the feel of a really matte finish on their skin after moisturising.

  1. I also suffer from oily skin and it was also actually my skin concerns that got me really into the beauty scene as well! I haven't tried anyone of these products before, so I am really interested in giving them a go especially the Lush one. Thanks for sharing! xx

  2. I am planning to explore and try more Lush skincare after a great experience with The Sacred Truth face mask. Am still not the biggest fan of their bath bombs though.

  6. Oh, next time I need a new moisturiser I'm going to head into lush. I don't know why I've never really tried much of their products I think the smell of Lush just overwhelms me! I've never heard of the second product you mentioned but it looks interesting!

    1. Ooh, I haven't checked out the vanishing cream! If you're after something that sinks right in then I would go with the Mario Badescu one, as the Lush moisturiser can leave a bit of a film on top of the skin. It's not greasy, but could be annoying!

  15. I used to use Lush's Enzymion and loved it! Right now, I am really into face oils, so I have put it aside for a while, but it is a fantastic product. I haven't tried any Mario Badescu products yet, but so many bloggers and youtubers keep raving about the line that I really want to try it out.
