S/S Nail Picks '15

For each season, there is a new trend for anything. From hairstyles to makeup to nails, the weather change generally indicates what's in style at the moment.

As we are approaching the 'Summer months' here in Australia (a.k.a. 'Hotter than Hell') I thought I might sit back and share with you what shades I'm going to be wearing on my nails for these upcoming months of torture- I mean, happiness.

Essence- 'Absolutely Blue'

Think Topshop's 'Blue Rinse' but infinitely cheaper. This quick drying nail formula has been my go to in my arsenal for the last month or so. Looks great dressed up in a LBD or down in boyfriend jeans and converse.

Essie- 'Go Ginza'

This lucky nail polish has made an appearance at both of my previous nail trend prediction posts and for good reason. A pastel, lavender, it is one of those colours that goes with your entire summer wardrobe.

OPI- 'Dutch Tulips'

The one time I went to Amsterdam, it was in the middle of Winter, pouring rain and freezing cold so I can't really speak on behalf of what their Tulips look like in the Summer, but I expect this pink/red bottle of polish reflects it well. Maybe if you close your eyes you can imagine yourself bike riding around the city in the height of Summer.

Model's Own- 'Snow White'

White nail polish seems to be bang on trend for Summer every year. I'm not exactly sure what it is about it, but I'm always lusting after that fresh, clean look. Mix it up with a red nail striper and you can call yourself 'festive' for this season.
