The Best Mascara For Oily Eyelids

Hands up if you've ever caught your reflection during the day with a face full of makeup that you've put so much effort into, only to find your mascara has decided to smother your eyelids in little black lines. Me, I have! It is honestly the most frustrating thing ever and I blame my oily eyelids every time. Those poor eyelids, what did I ever do to them? How dare they bring shame up on this #flawless face?

But seriously, there was a point in time where I had completely given up on ever finding a mascara that didn't transfer- I even bought a couple of waterproof formulas in hope they would help the situation but had the same thing keep on happening! Ugh, the frustration!

That is, until I discovered my coveted, holy grail mascara and I have never looked back.

Blinc Mascara AMPLIFIED* claims to provide incredible, build-able, glamorous volume and length as well as to be smudge-proof, sweat-proof, water-resistant and flake-proof. The mascara coats lashes with a glossy coat that forms tiny water resistant 'tubes' around your lashes. It applies exactly like a traditional mascara, giving you the ability to add as many coats as you want to build your lashes.

Removing the mascara is a whole new experience too, it's super easy and you don't even need makeup remover to do so! Simply apply a little warm water along with some gentle pressure and the 'tubes' slide off your lashes. You will actually see these tiny 'tubes' in your hand as the mascara comes off, without leaving any messy black tint or residue behind. I love taking this mascara off in front of friends and pretending that I've accidentally pulled out my eyelashes- oh, they do freak out!

I won't lie, this mascara doesn't offer you that 'false lash effect' but it certainly won't give you those dreaded 'fibre lashes'. (Why can't that trend die already?) I'm on my second tube of the stuff and I am completely and utterly hooked... line and sinker!

Honestly, my oily skin gals and boys will know the feels and frustrations when it comes to mascara that transfers and kills your makeup vibes. I definitely think this is a product that you have to try and see to actually believe. I know, it sounds a bit whacky and gimmicky, but I love this product so much, that I'm going to need a lifetime supply if they ever choose to discontinue it.

Do you have any mascara suggestions for people like me who have to deal with mascara transfer?

  1. Ugh yes, my mascara always smudges due to my oily skin, and the fact that my lashes point down so they touch my undereyes every time I blink! This mascara sounds amazing. I actually have a mini sample of their original mascara I think...I need to give it a go!

  4. I have heard about Blinc but never tried anything from the brand. I'm lucky to have dry lids so my makeup almost never smudge but still, I'm really curious about this mascara.

  5. I don't have any holy grail mascara yet, I am still searching for it. That title got me excited... I have oily eyelids and I hate it when my mascara gives me black eyes. This sounds absolutely amazing! x

  9. I think I have a teeny sample of this hanging around, will have to pull it out because I am ALWAYS struggling with mascaras transferring onto my brow bone - not good.

  10. Always cleanse first. Your entire face will need a good wash before you put any other products on it. Be sure to choose a cleanser that will be a good balance for your skin. Our website
