Nuxellence & Nuxe White Skincare Review

I have been a huge fan of the French brand, Nuxe for quite a while, I'm particularly in love with their Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil which I am sure you have seen me rave about before on this blog. A couple of months ago, myself and some other Melbourne bloggers were invited to a Nuxe event for the launch of their new product lines, Nuxellence and Nuxe White.

We were kindly gifted some products from their new range to sample and review, including the Nuxellence Detox* and the Nuxe White Intensive Whitening Dark Spot Serum* and I have been testing out these products in my skincare routine for the last two months.

"Nuxellence Detox is a night booster serum to assist the detoxification of skin cells thanks to a combination of sugars and silk extract. The optimal time for detoxification is at night and is a great opportunity for cell repair and regeneration. Nuxellence Detox will free the cells from waste and toxins that have built up during the day. This will result in a revived, fresh and rested complexion, as if you had slept for an extra two hours! The patented flower complex helps repair the mitochondrial DNA and recharges the energy of the skin cells for younger looking skin."

This product claims to help your cells naturally detoxify while you sleep, so for those who don't get their recommend 8 hours sleep, you are in for a treat. From what I understand, the first four hours of sleep is for detoxification and in the next four hours, your body works to repair your cells. You can see  that if you don't get the average 8 hours of sleep, you might be missing out on some serious cell regeneration. Nuxellence helps and encourages this autolysis process, aiding in the complete self-cleaning and regeneration of your skin cells.

Applied as a pre-serum, Nuxellence isn't just for mature skin, in fact, the earlier you begin using this product the more benefits you will reap. Marketed for 'all women, all ages', Nuxellence definitely gets my stamp of approval. I have been trialling this product for well over two months now and I have noticed vast improvements in the texture of my skin, especially the hydration and firmness of my skin when I wake up in the morning. I have since run out of product and am absolutely gutted, my skin has been without it for about a week and gone absolutely nuts! I'm definitely going to have to repurchase this one as it becomes a permanent spot in my skincare routine.

"Nuxe White's revolutionary Intensive Whitening Dark Spot Serum is the hero product which reinforces the range's performance against dark spots due to its highly concentrated formulation with Stargazer Lily and Stabilised Vitamin C, the brightening active ingredients. 92.6% of the ingredients in the serum are of natural origin. Clinically tested on both Caucasian and Asian skin."

The Nuxe White Serum claims to 'whiten' pigmentation and dark spots, as well as improving the luminosity and hydration levels in your skin. A fresh, delicate fragrance, Nuxe White aims to reduce dark spots and pigmentation and produce an overall brightening, non-drying effect on your skin.

I'll be honest, I was less impressed with this product as I didn't really notice a reduction in pigmentation/ dark spots on my skin. I was looking out for this in particular because I do have a lot of acne scarring on my cheeks and I was hoping this would be my golden ticket to clear, luminous skin! Unfortunately that was not the case in terms of dark spots and pigmentation, but I would say this serum has definitely improved the luminosity and brightness of my skin.

  1. The only Nuxe products I can find at my local shops are the lip balm and body oil. I love the lip balm and I plan on trying the body oil this winter. The Nuxellence Detox looks interesting. I may have to order it online.

  3. I've only tried one of the moisturizer and I must say I wasn't impressed. It did nothing for my skin and I never bother to try anything else. Don't think I seen the brand here but then again, I live in a small town so many brands are unavailable. LOL!

  4. I haven't tried anything from Nuxe yet however had my eyes on couple of products! One of them is that serum, I heard great things about it. It is shame that it isn't as good as you expected it to be, maybe after using it for a long time it might change.

  9. I am yet to try NUXE as a brand but I've got loads of things on my radar. Such a shame the Dark Spot Serum didn't help with pigmentation issues but at least it added radiance back into the skin x

  10. I have never tried anything from these guys but the serum sure does sound appealing. I've always wanted to try a serum but there is so much out there to choose from! It's overwhelming. But I love the sound of something that is going to repair my skin in those early hours, especially since I get a good 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep before I start tossing and turning. I know this is bad, but now to learn it's really effecting my skin. Blah. No bueno.
