My Perfume Collection

 The nose knows all.

A smell can bring on a flood of memories and even influence a person's mood.
When you first smell a new scent you link it to an event, a person, a thing or even a moment and your brain forges a link between the smell and a memory.

This is why I love to collect perfumes around important events in my life. I love to wear them and reminisce on the memories that I associate with them.

Eh, call me nostalgic- I grew up in the 90s!

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche

This is my third bottle of the stuff and I'm in love! It is such a fresh, yet feminine fragrance and the 'oldest' perfume I own. When I smell this I am transported back to when I was 14 and splurged on this perfume with my pocket money! I love the way the scent develops on my skin throughout the day too,  it tones down to more of a muted floral fragrance.

"A fresh, sparkling expression of CHANCE. The unexpected floral bursts with a lightness and zest as notes of citrus. Water Hyacinth and Jasmine Absolute are energised with woody notes of Amber of Patchouli and Fresh Vetiver."

Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey Cologne

This is by far the sweetest scent I own and holds a few different memories for me. The scent transports me back to shopping on Oxford St with my mum last October and our little trip away. Every time I wear this scent now, it reminds me of my love for London and my aspiration to move there. Normally I would oppose to overly sweet scents, but this cologne strikes the perfect balance for me.

"London's Covent Garden early morning market. Succulent nectarine, peach and cassis and delicate Spring flowers melt into the note of acacia honey. Sweet and delightfully playful."

Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne

I love the fact that the Jo Malone colognes are unisex, especially for this particular fragrance. The standout notes are definitely the woody, spice scent and the sea salt which reminds me of being near the Brighton seaside- although I was nowhere near Brighton when I wore this! I love this scent so much that I actually have it in both sizes; a 30mL travel size and the regular 100mL bottle.

"Escape the everyday along the windswept shore. Weaves braking white, the air fresh with sea salt and spray. Alive with the mineral scent of the rugged cliffs. Mingling with the woody earthiness of safe. Lively, spirited and totally joyful."

  6. I swear Jo Malone is one of the few perfume brands that I can always rely on-- all of their scents smell divine. My all time favourite is the orange, jasmine, and lime blossom scents. /Madison
