DIY Deep Cleansing Face Mask | 30 Days of June

READY, SET, GO! FOR GREAT LOOKING SKIN.

We all love a good face mask but I think they're even better when made fresh using ingredients you can find in your kitchen cupboard.

This face mask is perfect for every one, it's just your own skin type which determines how often you use it. For example, I have quite oily skin so I can use this mask on a daily basis whereas someone with normal/ drier skin might prefer to use this monthly as a deep cleansing mask.

Take care when using this mask though, it's binding ingredient is honey so make sure your clothes are protected when sporting this mask, there will be no spillages on my watch!

For this mask you will need:

1 Tbsp of Honey
1 Tbsp of Ground Ginger (fresh can also be used)
1 Tbsp of Allspice
1/2 Tbsp of Lemon juice

Ground Ginger is a powerful antiseptic which helps to clean the skin and rid it of bacteria, which is great for those who are prone to breakouts. It also acts as a natural exfoliating toner as it rids away the impurities and dead skin cells contributing to glowing skin.

Allspice contains a rich amount of vitamins including Vitamins A, B6 and C. These vitamins help to increase blood flow and oxygen which leaves you with renewed and radiant looking skin.

Lemon Juice is rich in Vitamin C and citric acid and when used over time, it can help brighten and lighten your skin. It's also great for any acne scarring/ old pimples.

Honey has great moisturising properties and similar to ginger, is a great bacteria killer. It also has anti-inflammatory properties which will calm redness and irritation- apparently it's a great sunburn salve but I'm yet to try it!
Love the sneaky bathroom mirror pic! Ha.

I would love to know how you guys get along with this face mask!

It's worked wonders for me and the first time I used it I saw immediate results, my skin felt clean and my cheeks were glowing, yay for natural products!

  4. I love using a mixture of honey, lemon juice, and oatmeal on my face for my face mask. My skin always looks bright and feels extremely soft after I wash it off.
I've never tried adding ginger or Allspice to it though. I will definitely be trying this in the future.

Thanks for the beauty tip! ^_^

  5. I am doing it right away! Thank you so much for sharing! I always prefer natural masks than the commercial ones, I find them way more effective! And as my grandmother used to say: "Don't put anything in your face that you cannot eat"!! :)
    Thank you for sharing!
PS: Try also egg white with honey and olive oil with turmeric!
