Assorted Primers | 30 Days of June

It's prime time!

I am all too familiar with the slip and slide of makeup throughout the day and before I discovered primers, I thought makeup would never work for me.

I've mentioned once or twice (or three thousand) times that I have oily skin and I never really understood how important primers were in my everyday makeup routine. Over the last year I have tried a lot of primers out myself and these were my top primer winners and picks I will keep repurchasing and coming back to.

***

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer This is my absolute Holy Grail primer but because of the price I tend to use this only on special occasion and when I want a really no-budge base. It's great at cancelling out redness and pores too!

Benefit Porefessional Primer Pores be gone! This product is a cult beauty fave and I can see why! Sometimes Benefit can be a little hit and miss with their products but this is where they have struck gold. This primer perfectly hides my pores and preps my skin for a full face of makeup. I also love to put a little bit of it under my eye before applying concealer- hello smooth under eye area!

Innoxa Skin Perfecting Pore Vanishing Cream This product and texture is so similar to it's 'higer-end' counterpart the Porefessional (above), they might as well have been repackaged twins. It's a budget friendly alternative that vanishes pores and well, basically does everything it says on the tin!

  1. I've tried both the Innoxa and Benefit offerings and quite like them both. I think Innoxa wins out just because it's more affordable and still does an amazing job! I really want to try the HG primer :)

  2. I've heard so many good things about Benefit's primer and so if I were to ever venture into the territory of primers, that's probably the direction I'd first of all look in :)

    1. Yay! Definitely look at using a primer for your makeup Gabrielle! My opinion has forever changed on how important they are for a long-lasting base.

  3. Porefessional is definitely one primer that I truly like! My base looks so smooth with it and you're right about 'pores be gone'! I have heard great things about the Hourglass primer but omg, I can't justify the price!

    1. I know! It's so hard to justify the price (I only have the travel size at the moment) but I really do think it's an absolute dream for perfecting my base!
