EMPTIES #1 | Skincare & Haircare

Happy Hump Day!

I keep my empty beauty products in a little bag in the furthest corner of my room, in hope that one day it will actually fill up and be worth of a blog post. Ladies and gents, that day have come.

As I was pulling those empty bottles out and revisiting the 'memories' of different products, I soon came to realise that I may be a secret skincare junkie because that's literally all there is in here! (That and the fact that I don't think I've ever truly finished a makeup item before).

Anywho, onto the products now! I've also included a mini review of each item and my thoughts on whether or not I would repurchase right away!

Micellar Water is literally my bae. From Garnier to Bioderma, I've been all over the stuff! I favour this over grubby makeup wipes any day! I only wish they came in bigger bottles- I have needs people! For a full review on micellar cleansing waters, click here.

Repurchase? YES!

Witch Hazel is a great toner for oily skin types and although the smell can be off-putting, it does leave my skin feeling quite clean and oil-free. The only thing is I find it can be a bit of a moisture sucker at times so I wouldn't recommend for drier skin types.

Repurchase? Maybe in the future.

This Exfoliating Face Scrub has been one of my favourites for the past 4 months and is made from 97% naturally sourced ingredients and isn't tested on animals, hooray! I like to use an exfoliating scrub like this maybe two or three times a week as I tend to get a lot of blackheads around my chin and nose. The scent of this product reminds me of a essential oil blend which is perfect to help energise your senses while using it!

Repurchase? Yes for ethics.

Milk Bath may be one of my favourite products from The Body Shop to date. I am totally a bath person and every time I have a bath I like to include this powder too. It leaves my bath water feeling so smooth and my skin so silky soft, I feel like I'm actually taking a bath made entirely of milk, à la Cleopatra.

Repurchase? In the future, I have way too many Lush goodies to get through!

I've been out to achieve silkier hair and combat my frizzy, curls and this Shampoo/ Conditioner duo from Natural World have hit the mark for me! These, (in combination with some more Argan Oil in my wet locks after I step out of the shower) are really putting the health back into my hair for me. Now I'm on the hunt for a good hair mask- any recommendations?

Repurchase? I already have a back-up, so YES!

Have you tried any of these products/ or similar out before?
I would also love to get some recommendations for future purchases!

  1. I totally agree with you. Ever since I was introduced to micellar waters, I have been obsessed. My favorite is Bioderma, but I have also tried the one from Simple and Nars. Which is your favorite?

    1. Micellar Water is life! haha
I am yet to try the Simple one, but Garnier's version is definitely comparable to Bioderma!
If you have it in your local drugstore, definitely give it a go!

  2. Guess who's finally stopped using face wipes?! The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water has reminded me of my version by Simple that I started using a month ago (for the eyes) and I've been so pleased with it - along with using Clarins joint cleanser/toner and moisturiser. I finally can read your posts without feeling crazy guilty haha! ;)

  3. I have always wondered what Witch Hazel is for, I have dry skin so I'll stay the hell away from it. You got me curious about The Body Shop Milk Bath, definitely one I'll look out for.

  6. Hair care is directly proportional to your dietary intake; as food that you consume has a lot to do with the state of your hair.
