Luxe for Less: DIY Coffee Scrub

Wake up and smell the coffee!

It's time to invigorate your senses and polish your skin with this super dooper easy DIY at home coffee scrub!

This coffee scrub will instantly take you from depresso to espresso!

Use all over your body and face to exfoliate and moisturise at the same time, whether it's in the shower or tub- you will see and feel instant results!

There are so many similar coffee scrubs in the market at the moment but they are so expensive when you think you could make yourself a HUGE batch in the comfort of your own home!

This scrub is packed with only good, whole ingredients and there are no hidden nasties which means not only is it good for you, it's also great for the environment!

DIY COFFEE SCRUB
(Makes about a month's worth depending on usage)

1/4 cup ground coffee beans
1/4 cup of a sugar mix (I used brown, white and raw sugar)
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp Raw Cacao Powder
1/4 cup coconut oil
2 Tbsp of instant coffee mix

Caffeine has a multitude of benefits for your skin such as reducing inflammation and redness as well as aiding in the reduction of cellulite.

Ground Cinnamon is a beautiful spice but it also has many benefits for you skin including helping in the treatment of acne, eczema and it even helps to plump the skin.

Raw Cacao Powder is high in antioxidants and helps your skin's hydration and complexion as well as increasing the blood flow to the skin.

Coconut Oil is Mother Nature's moisturiser and helps to maintain the moisture content of your skin, help repair the skin and also delaying the ageing process- win!

I think this scrub is fast becoming a staple in my daily routine, I'm in love with it and the results!

Have you used any coffee scrubs similar to this previously?

I would love to hear how you guys get on with this scrub and what you think of it!

  7. I use coffee in my handmade soaps all the time. It's great for exfoliating, and smells so good! Combined with coconut oil, this is a great combo for exfoliating and moisturizing. I hadn't thought about trying the cinnamon - can't wait to try it out! Love your pics, BTW. :-)
