Luxe for Less: DIY Lip Scrub

I am a sucker for Sugar scrubs, I even have a DIY for a body one you can make here

But today it's all about the lips! You may have seen in my previous post I used a scrub from Lush to keep my lips from being chapped, gross things and truly, it is a wonderful product. However, I am a blogger on a budget so I wanted to devise a simple 'recipe' to make and use when I run out.

Now let me explain... I love Lush as much as the next person. In fact, probably more than the next person, but I am not a fan of the prices sometimes. Their famous Lip Scrub sells for around $10 which you could probably make for a mere $2 from the comfort of your own home and I can almost bet that you have these ingredients already it your kitchen cupboard which means no run to the local Supermarket- score!

What you'll need to make your delish scrub...

***

1 TBSP Coconut Oil
3 TBSP Castor Sugar
1 sachet Vanilla Sugar (for taste more than anything)
2 drops of your choice of food colouring.

***

Pretty much just mix it all together and Ta-Da!
I purchased this little glass jar from my local $2 shop and it will seriously last me ages!

I love the combination of the coconut oil and vanilla from the sugar it tastes so good! And there's no bad additives so you can eat this scrub as much as you please! ; )

I literally have an obsession with exfoliating my lips and pretty much do it twice a day, everyday so this is a perfect solution for me!

How about you, do you usually exfoliate your lips or just let nature take it's course?

Please let me know if you do end up making a version of this scrub as I would love to see it and hear back how your lips felt after!
