What's In My TRAVEL Makeup Bag? | AnjelCo

I bring you today's post from atop of my suitcase.

I'm sitting here, cross-legged trying to compress every item of clothing I have shopped just so I can squish in some more. I think I have a sickness, but more on that later.

Well, it got me thinking that I am yet to do a travel post for you so I have come up with the easiest thing for me to photograph (and talk about) and that's the contents of my makeup bag when I am travelling.

Enjoy!

When I travel, I prefer to keep things light purely for the purpose of being able to buy more in my destination city and if you're one of those people who can't bear to be without their second favourite product, be prepared to leave it behind on your return journey when you've found something 10x better. You heard it first here.

Now, ordinarily I don't think I would've brought such a big eyeshadow palette with me as the Urban Decay NAKED one but I had a wedding to attend so I made an exception. Although, I think a smaller palette with fewer, everyday colours would be perfect for travelling as it is a lot more compact.

I don't know what it is about holidays but I never seem to wear a lot of makeup or be bothered doing my hair. I think it might be poor time management, or excellent time management... whichever way you look at it. ; )

I also like to take a lipstick with me, usually opting for red as it is more wearable than a purple might be and is perfect for a night out.

I have no idea what happened to my foundation on the plane but the formula has just gone gross! Let's just say it does not 'Stay Matte' anymore! Shame, I'll have to purchase a new one back home.

Mascara of course! I actually bought this one here in Germany, as it was recommended to me by a fellow beauty blogger! So glad I didn't bring a mascara from home. I have also stocked up on this to take back!

When I was in London I bought the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and I'm never looking back. Need to dash to Superdrug sometime in the last 12 hours that I'll be there.

My NYX eye primer that I've literally had for years! Ordinarily I might leave this at home but my eyelids have been really oily lately and my eyeshadow loves to slip off!

I literally cannot leave the house without my eyebrows done so I have my trusty Sleek Makeup Brow Kit and a clear mascara for that.

My Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner and my Bourjois bronzer that also doubles as a nice contour and finally a select few makeup brushes to get everything done!

Now to you this may seem like a lot of products, but for me this is just the essentials that cover all bases for me when I am away or travelling.

How about you?
What is one makeup item/ product that you can't travel without?

  2. Great post :) I love the Collection concealer too - definitely one of my favs and bought totally based on the recommendations of others! Fab travel kit, you done well - I'd have such a hard time whittling it down. Considering my handbag is full of lip gloss I think that's the one item I couldn't travel without :D x

Yep, totally bought the Collection concealer purely because so many were raving about it! Ooh! A nice lips gloss might have to be an addition to my travel kit!
