How To Deal With a Breakup

Let's face it, boys suck.

I've heard everything from "I'm moving back home" to "I'm not feeling it anymore" (side note: wtf does that even mean?)  and let me tell you, these boys are ALL. THE. SAME.

Maybe it's my own fault as I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve but hey, when you feel like your heart has been ripped out of your chest and stomped on one too many times, you kind of become an expert at dealing with it.

Saltiness aside, breaking up with someone you truly care about can be super difficult, especially if you were the one to be broken up with and you still care for that person.

These tips are some of the ways I have found best to help me cope with getting over a recent breakup.

Look Good, Feel Great

As I sit here feeling a wee nostalgic over my 90s crushed velvet dress, nursing a head cold in the middle of Summer, (wtf?!) I can't help but begin to brainstorm a number of ideas to help perk me up and get me back on track to feeling like myself again.

So how do you go about feeling like yourself again when your head is pounding and you have this sexy, albeit weird phlegm thing going on that makes you sound like more manly than you would like? Well for me, it's as simple as working from the outside in.

If I don't look after myself when I'm sick and allow myself to present as 'un-Anjelique' I will ultimately feel crappy for much longer than I need to, won't get things (like this blog post) done and wallow in self pity and make myself anxious about all the things that need to be done, thus creating a deliciously vicious cycle that could have easily been avoided.

However, as an avid list creator, I've naturally devised a plan of action for when I'm feeling this way and it made sense to me to share a few of my own tips and tricks for when I'm feeling poorly or down in the dumps!

So things have been super quiet here on the blog, but I promise it's for good reason. As I'm writing this post, I am celebrating my last ever assignment submission- I've officially finished my course! That definitely calls for celebration, but unfortunately it's way too early to start cracking out the tequila... I will just have to save myself for later tonight!

Another exciting news update- I have undertaken the challenge to vlog every single day this October. I know, it seems crazy but it's honestly the most rewarding challenge and I can't wait to look back at the end of this month and have 31 videos to watch which chronicle my everyday life.  It's because of these two things that I have been really slacking in my blog posts but I'm thinking I might take a break from beauty blogging this month and really focus on the whole vlogging thing for October. I will still post here weekly and leave you updates of what I'm up to but as of now, I'm on 'holiday'! LOL

I also really want to relaunch my blog at the end of the month, so I will still be working on the blog but just nothing you will be able to see just yet! Enough of the disappointing stuff, grab a snack and a drink and enjoy catching up on the first seven days of VLOGTOBER!

Welcome back to the fourth installment of my What I Eat In A Day series, where I chronicle literally everything I eat on a particular day. I know it sounds weird, but I honestly love reading posts and watching videos like this to give me 'food-spiration' and ideas for my own meals. As you may remember from my last few WIEIAD posts, I have turned to a Vegan, Plant-Based diet and I've honestly never felt better, both inside and out!
